FROMM is an internationally established, Swiss based company. Founded in 1947, the family-owned business is committed to the development of innovative products, meeting the expectations of our customers around the world. The Fromm Group includes 28 subsidiaries in 17 countries with approximately 900 employees. Over 50 independent distributors add to the world-wide presence.
FROMM manufactures a complete line of packaging products and equipment for unitising and palletising of industrial loads for transport securing. Customers throughout the world rely on the innovative products developed, engineered, manufactured, distributed and serviced by the FROMM Group, ensuring Swiss standards and quality throughout.
FROMM continually develop new strapping and packaging techniques and products at the research centre in Achern, Germany. Using the Latest 3D-CAD computer systems, constant innovation provides the strength and offers the customers the latest benefits in performance and economic solutions.
In the state-of-the-art factory in Caprino Italy, the FROMM production runs around the clock with highly qualified teams of specialists using computer-controlled production machines to manufacture parts. Assembling of strapping, packaging tools and strapping machines, as well as the end testing conducted in-house.
The factory has been awarded the ISO 9001 and 14001 certification. In the new FROMM Plastics production factory in Kölleda Germany, FROMM manufacture, the "STARSTRAP" polyester (PET) strapping, and the film for the Air-pad systems.
The new production plant has been awarded the ISO 9001 and ISO 14000 certifications.
FROMM is the only strapping supplier in South Africa, that supplies strapping and strapping tools / strapping machines / packaging equipment, that has been manufactured by it's own group. This allows for more competitive pricing on tools and spares.
The FROMM policy continues to focus on continuity, independence and high standards of quality, to accommodate and adapt to customer needs. FROMM provides transport securing solutions by means of strapping with hand systems (strapping tools) as well as fully automatic strapping machines.
The South African operation was founded in Johannesburg, in February 2001 and has expanded its operations throughout the Southern Africa Region, either via independent branches or through distributors.
